In your opinion, what book was best portrayed in film?

Stand by me. Originally a Steven King novella. I absolutely love this film, its beautiful, funny and really sad. The film captures the tone of the book perfectly and actually improves on many of the features of the books. Its one of those kids films where they cast quality actors in it as well. River Phoenix was particularly good. Awesome
